A graduate of Fanshawe College, Marisa was the first woman to earn a coveted Jack Richardson "Spirit of Rock and Roll" Music Award since the Music Industry Arts program started in 1975.

 

She was the lead vocalist for a Sarnia-based alternative rock band, has sang backing vocals for an Elvis tribute ensemble & opened as solo artist Missa Muse for Francophone band LGS. ​
